Today I was hoping to start today’s thought with the scripture I have offended used. “By the renewing of your mind by the washing of the watered of the word. After considerable time I could not find, what I thought was a scripture. Yet what I thought was scripture, is scriptural as I pressed on seeking it. We find part of this in Romans 12:1-2, also in Eph5:25-27 and all of this points to the great commission, when Yeshua tells His desciples (talmidim) out to make desciples.

(Baptizing) them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh, 20 and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age.”
Remember that John was not a baptist, he was fulfill exercising his priestly duties to immerse those who where preparing and came to be ceremonious cleansed and purified. This is an act of purification before presenting oneself to God, YHWH, and symbolic of a rebirth and purification. Paul refers to this purification in Romans 12:1-2. Romans 12:1-2 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) 12 I exhort you, therefore, brothers, in view of God’s mercies, to offer yourselves as a sacrifice, living and set apart for God. This will please him; it is the logical “Temple worship” for you. 2 In other words, do not let yourselves be conformed to the standards of the ‘olam hazeh(this world ). Instead, keep letting yourselves be transformed by the renewing of your minds; so that you will know what God wants and will agree that what he wants is good, satisfying and able to succeed.

25 As for husbands, love your wives, just as the Messiah loved the Messianic Community, indeed, gave himself up on its behalf, 26 in order to set it apart for God, making it clean through immersion in themikveh, so to speak, 27 in order to present the Messianic Community to himself as a bride to be proud of, without a spot, wrinkle or any such thing, but holy and without defect.
