The televangelist devoted his Sunday sermon to Harvey’s devastation and the recent deluge of criticism after his Houston megachurch temporarily closed its doors during the deadly storm.

“Harvey came, but it didn’t take us out,” Osteen said, after congregants listened to a live band accompanied by a light show.

“We are going to come out of this stronger than before.”

So far this week I’ve spent time with AA Allen ’60, Katryn Kuhlman ’75, Billy Graham ’58, Arthut Blessit ’84, but I have never heard a Joel Osteen sermon, many by his father John but this I’ll do by your recommendation.

I go to bed with the devil. And wake up to hail satan. So these little cussers don’t affect me at all. Nice try no cigar. I am sorry now I fell for the bait. Let me say this again in the great love of God. Scandal is not the proper diet of a child of God.
May God help us and have mercy on us and deliver us from every evil. That includes gossip.

Mr Day I don’t what is going on down there? It grieves me that everyone is second guessing and they haven’t even buried their dead. Ten minutes of prayer or an hour or two will not be enough to see this thing through to victory. I pray God will help his people spare lives and help people come to saving faith that is in Jesus Christ. We must be that wall. Not that gutter. I’m 60+ minutes in the sermon has not started lol.

Apparently the building was flooded to five feet but they waited for it to recede. Pastors and their liability insurance. Pastor are a unique breed of people. They take a position and hold it until God tells them otherwise. Most folks can’t do that. Stand for all and against all. He’s probably a Pentecostal when no one is looking lol

No one has explained to me yet with all the mega ministries in Houston why was he the only one singled out. Why are believers siding against a fellow brother? Why are believers being tell bearers and running without facts? People who have no experience pastoring 16k people or managing that kind of property. Something is strange.

Which other ministries refuse to offer shelter?

Who would know? They were singled out on purpose and no matter what facts came out they were still attacked

Not sure what are you saying anymore. They were not singled out for nothing. They refused to open the church for victims. If you have no knowledge of any other ministry that refused too, then they were not singled out – they singled out themselves by their wrong actions, which they later corrected

What I am saying is, they were targeted. People choice them for whatever purpose. And their actions were not wrong. They followed a protocol. If they hadn’t followed a protocol and someone died, you and people like you would have crucified them. Think logically also, did they not have to contend with their own personal issues as well regarding the flood? Even though they released a video showing 5 feet of water in a building that historically has flooded you have a bias and say they did the wrong thing. So matter what they did it would have been wrong. I”m through with this

It’s always time to do God’s will. Everybody wants God to move suddenly, but when he asks us it’s next week sunday!
