As far as Jerusalem being (officially) declared Israel’s capital, is there any prophetic relevance to this?

“The Palestinians
They will see Trump’s announcement as the end of their hopes and demands for East Jerusalem as a capital of a future independent Palestinian state. Although few Palestinians want a return to violence, many will feel that diplomatic efforts have got them no closer to a state of their own and will see little alternative to direct action.

Trump opens dangerous fracture line in deeply divided Jerusalem

The state of Israel
The Israeli government will be thrilled. Ever since it captured (and later annexed) East Jerusalem in the 1967 six-day war, Israel has claimed the city as its “eternal and undivided” capital, and has longed for international recognition. Trump’s decision will reinforce the view of many Israeli politicians that there is little to be gained by negotiating with the Palestinians. Some 200,000 Israelis living in settlements in occupied East Jerusalem, illegal under international law, will also celebrate.”

No declaration there Timothy K. Wiebe
Trump confirmed ” it is time to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel,: and ” US may recognize Jerusalem as capital of Israel ”

The president’s announcement provoked condemnation from US allies, and a furious reaction from Palestinian leaders and the Muslim world. Within minutes of Trump’s announcement, US embassies in Turkey, Jordan, Germany and Britain issued security alerts urging Americans to exercise caution.

The United Nations Security Council is likely to meet on Friday to discuss the move, after a request by eight countries on the 15-member body, including the UK, Italy and France.

Troy Day: A great headline you grabbed. So, after the announcement and the reaction of “Palestinian leaders” (who? Hezbollah? Hamas? Beirut? Jordan?) instructions to American embassies to “be careful” mean what exactly? Do they mean that Turkey and other pro-Islamic states are likely to react with violence just like the “offended” protesters and rioters in the U.S. after police action against black criminals? “We’re gonna be mean and getcha ’cause we don’t like the way things turned out.”? What? The L.A. Riots all over again, but on a larger scale? Are pro-Muslim Middle-Easterners BRAZENLY declaring themselves bandits and thugs? Wow! And Jerusalem OUGHT to be Israel’s official capital. Instead, it has been the political plaything of the U.N. since 1948. Not fair. And how is it that Jerusalem can be quartered up between Christians, Jews, and Muslims when historically it has been in possession of Israel and also was the official birthplace of Christianity? Islam, on the other hand, overran it and at one point allowed the Jews to live only if they paid a tribute to Mohammad. Islam is the real-life continuation of Ali-Baba and His 40 Thieves. (!)

Troy Day: Well, post-WWII Berlin was partitioned as a compromise between the USSR and the USA. What we saw there is classically called “sphere of influence”. With Jerusalem it became somewhat of a quagmire as first it was a British trusteeship and then was administrated by the United Nations.

Of course it could be prophetic….. the arabs form together and the former USSR come on board and attack from the North and we are looking at end time prophecy unfolding.

Walter Polasik seems like the direction of Jerusalem now Announcement was made on Hayom Yom: Kislev 18 just in time of 19th starting that same evening Kislev is when Nehemiah heard about Jerusalem and asked the king for its rebuilding during a lunch

The 19th day of the Hebrew month of Kislev is celebrated as the “Rosh Hashanah of Chassidism.” It was on this date, in the year 1798, that the founder of Chabad Chassidism, Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi (1745–1812), was freed from his imprisonment in czarist Russia. More than a personal liberation, this was a watershed event in the history of Chassidism, heralding a new era in the revelation of the “inner soul” of Torah.

This from The Jewish Press – I’m worried about TANSTAAFL – There ain’t no such thing as a free lunch. What is the price that President Trump might potentially demand from Israel in return? http://www.jewishpress.com/…/muqata/tanstaafl/2017/12/06/

Troy Day: Nice factoid on Chasidism. I didn’t know that. Yeah, the news is bound to get more interesting as prophecy unfolds.
