[This is the promise God made to Abraham (who was called Abram at this time): In your future generations, when the Messiah, who shall come from you, shall all families of the earth be blessed; for as Jesus shall take on him human nature from the descendants of Abraham, HE SHALL TASTE DEATH FOR EVERY MAN, his Gospel shall be preached throughout the world, and countless blessings be poured out on all mankind through Jesus’ death and intercession.] “The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “I WILL MAKE YOU INTO A GREAT NATION, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Gen. 12:1-3) [IS ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR THE LORD TO DO? Abraham is now 99 years old…] “When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless. Then I will make my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers.” Abram fell facedown, and God said to him, “As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. No longer will you be called Abram; YOUR NAME WILL BE ABRAHAM, FOR I HAVE MADE YOU A FATHER OF MANY NATIONS.” (Gen. 17:1-5) [What seems impossible for us is “NO BIG THING” for God!] “God also said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you are no longer to call her Sarai; her name will be Sarah. I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her.” Abraham fell facedown; he laughed and said to himself, “WILL A SON BE BORN TO A MAN A HUNDRED YEARS OLD? WILL SARAH BEAR A CHILD AT THE AGE OF NINETY?” (Gen. 17:15-17) [Listen to our Abba Father’s impossible promise!] “IS ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR THE LORD? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and SARAH WILL HAVE A SON.” (Gen. 18:14) [Is anything too hard for the Lord to do?] “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me WILL DO the works I have been doing, and they will do even GREATER THINGS than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. YOU MAY ASK ME FOR ANYTHING in my name, and I WILL DO IT.” (John 14:12-14)
Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that WE MAY ASK JESUS FOR ANYTHING IN HIS NAME, AND HE WILL DO IT!
