Besides the occasional stock market crashes we do have a discussion on your question here http://standupforthetruth.com/2014/09/will-christians-snookered-shemitah/

only Alan N Carla Smith can tell if THE MYSTERY OF THE #SHEMITAH Is real
John Kissinger [08/08/2015 7:25 PM]
John Earp read the article to the end only to discover that quotes … Wikipedia 🙂

Actually, the article I linked above exposes Cahn’s use of Wikipedia, and cites Wikipedia’s own statement that its use is not considered acceptable for academic citations.

so do we throw the whole thing out us extra-Biblical revelation? http://www.pentecostaltheology.com/manifestation-of-the-messiah-in-september-2015/
John Earp [08/09/2015 12:26 PM]
Any teaching which suggests that the Old Covenant is somehow still in effect is a denial of Christ and the New Covenant. No matter who teaches it.

If there’s interest from the group, perhaps a series of discussions could be done on the topics of SHEMITAH … and Stock Market, Masons, Christians, Prophetic Cycles, Bibliography, etc.
Pentecostal Theology [08/09/2015 12:39 PM]
yes, we can do that if there’s interest from the group
John Kissinger [08/09/2015 2:00 PM]
dont really see too many interested but they may be still eating lunch at the buffet line 🙂
Alan N Carla Smith [08/09/2015 2:05 PM]
Just home from lunch! However saying that the Shemitah would have no affect on anyone other than Israel is like saying that the Holy Ghost [was] for those living during the upper room time ONLY!
John Kissinger [08/09/2015 2:09 PM]
Alan N Carla Smith is now a vegan but back in the day he could clear a buffet line. He just needs to start loving a bit more on David M. Hinsen 🙂 John Earp is saying the SHEMITAH cycles are also extra Biblical revelation – hence not even very much of God
John Earp [08/09/2015 2:53 PM]
Alan N Carla Smith, your comparison does not follow. The Holy Spirit was poured out at the beginning of the New Covenant, and the promise is for “all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” Such is not the case for the Shemitah, which was given under the Law of Moses to the Hebrews only, Again, any teaching that says the Old Covenant is still in effect is a denial of Christ and the New Covenant He inaugurated.

John lots of theologians of Christian reconstruction, neonomianism, dominion theology, Kingdom Now, Social Gospel, NAR, etc. would strongly disagree with you. But if we exclude the 7x7yrs cycles, we basically have to exclude the chronology of the whole Creation and much more as Old Testamental (term coined for Rick Wadholm Jr ) So back to the original thought, is there any proof that the 7x7yrs cycles are extra-Biblical revelation b/c the way I read, they are in my Bible – please elaborate
