Offense and Isolation is the devils number one tactic. Elijah was sore upset. Doing Gods work can be a lonely business at times. Its you against the world every devil from hell and every drunk too. Seems like everybody wants to take you down. Elijah knew opposition witchcraft and real threats. He knew great success too.
Elijah caught himself running from the battle and fearing for his life . Hiding. Alone . But he was not alone. God was with him. Hearing him. Talking to him. Reproving him. Giving him instruction and vision. Jehovah God tells Elijah I have seven thousand. These were praying men. Men that Elijah did not know but God knew. Men that didnt bow to demons and idolatry. they were standing with God just like him.
Offense and Isolation are killers. Crippling our faith killing our relationships, and wrecking havoc among the people of God.
Many years later, Elisha the disciple of Elijah, said, those that be with us are more than the armies of our enemy.
Its my prayer that Gods people know and understand how dangerous Offense and Isolation is. that no matter what the devil tells you, you are not alone, your struggle is not unique, you are not the only one. If you will pour out your heart and complaint to God he will visit you and comfort you and heal you and help you get back in the battle. the war is long, the way is hard, but God is with us. Let us press on we may yet see the fruit of our labour in the land of the living. peace.
