The role of the prophet is not to predict what is to come, but to speak into their present moment, so how does Revelation fit into the prophetic category? We also discuss how the author uses imagery to connect the dots between the ideas of a suffering Messiah and a victorious Messiah. How do Christians and Jews view concepts of “A new heaven and a new earth,” and how do those ideas influence the way we live life in the here-and-now? We conclude the Revelation series with a Big Concept idea about the character of God.

There are no Prophets today; the Apostles and Prophets were to lay the foundation of the Church (Eph. 2). That work was completed in the first century. Their contribution is found in the pages of Scripture.
Today we have evangelists and pastors and teachers proclaiming Scripture, and the ministry of the saints through their spiritual gifts.

We have to wait and see that our Lord is good. Once it is written in the Bible, it will be done one or the other day accordingly. There is no need for any prophet to re-confirm it again.
