Thus, let us believe for a Great Awakening in the church to provide laborers for the harvest of the multitudes. That will, first and foremost bring many to Christ, and secondarily, influence our culture and society for Christ. That’s how we disciple the nations (Matthew 28:19).

Evangelist Christopher Alam wrote:

While we pray for a government that will uphold the Bible and Christian values, let us never forget the following:

1. It has never been a good thing when the Church and Church Leaders get political power. Godly rulers, yes most definitely; but the Church of Jesus Christ was not designed or assigned for political power.

2. While we want laws that line up with the Bible, we cannot legislate Righteousness. God’s Mandate for the Church is to preach the Gospel and bring people to Christ. The greater the number of people who live under the Rule of Christ, the greater the Influence of the Word of God over society. Changed lives means changed communities and ultimately a changed nation.

3. No matter who wins the elections, we shall honor and respect those who lead our nation. We shall continue to Preach the Gospel. We shall continue in prayer for all Americans, Republicans, Democrats and all others, that they may come to the Saving Knowledge of Jesus Christ.
