Get ready, it’s coming. On Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 2:20 p.m. ET/11:20 a.m. PT, your cellphone, radio or TV will blare a jarring electronic noise that signals a test of the nationwide Emergency Alert System (EAS).
This is a coordinated effort between the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to test the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS).
It could be postponed to Oct. 11 if there’s severe weather or other significant events, according to FEMA. The process involves two parts: a 30-minute signal sent to radios and televisions as part of EAS, and a similar one sent to all consumer cellphones as part of the WEA system. Federal law requires the systems be tested at least once every three years. The last nationwide test was Aug. 11, 2021.

PSA: Your cell phone will do an emergency service alert test at 2:20pm today. You can silence it when it goes off. Turning your phone off only delays it until you turn your phone back on. You do need to put your phone in the microwave or wrap it in foil. National emergency alerts are intended to save lives in the event of an emergency that may affect you. <> Everything will be unplugged, batteries in a heavy-duty bag in my sealed microwave. All TVs, Stereos, radios, modems, routers, and Cell phones will be unplugged and all put away until this Broadcast is over. I’m thinking of even turning my main breaker box off.
I’m not taking any chances. I do not trust the unknown…PRAY. !!!

Troy Day I said it did not appear to be legally possible since they are both considered to be from Florida legally, and president and VP have to be from two different states… not that either of them would go for it, Trump probably less so than Desantes.
