I would think it means being full of the Holy Ghost. Wit the evidence of speaking in tongues.

We are to beever filled with the Spirit. We see references to people filled with the Spirit and saying or doing things, like prophesying like Zecharias or men in Ephesus, preaching boldly like the twelve, magnifying God like those with Cornelius, declaring a man to be blind followed by it happening as with Saul the apostle and Elymas, or speaking in tongues as in Acts 2, 10, and 19. But we are to be constantly filled with the Spirit also.

Brother Link the Spirit activates something in a man and as you say things begin to happen eg prophesying, the working of miracles, healings and supernatural knowledge…(power).
Is the infilling of the Spirit the cause and source of the demonstration of Gods mighty power in a believer?
Acts 10:38 says that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and POWER…(2 things isnt it..THE HOLY SPIRIT and POWER).
Can one have the Holy Spirit and yet LACK POWER?(Just trying to sort out your last advise that WE ARE TO BE CONSTANTLY FILLED with the Spirit..
Was Jesus nocturnal prayers at being CONSTANTLY FILLED for we never read Jesus FAILING TO DO ANYTHING..
As soon as He boldly declared that the SPIRIT OF THE LORD WAS ON HIM and that God had anointed Him, never a problem did He ever fail to solve .
Would you say that the spectacles we see today in most churches is due to lack of being filled with the Spirit?
Too many questions but answer those you can…

@Isara Mo my focus in mentioning those other things is that it was not only tongues. Good point about power. I’d have to see if that is the same word as miracles in I Corinthians 12.

There could be other things. By spectacles do you mean eyeglasses?

//When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place, and suddenly a sound came from heaven like a rushing violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. There appeared to them tongues resembling fire, which were being distributed [among them], and they rested on each one of them [as each person received the Holy Spirit]. And they were all filled [that is, diffused throughout their being] with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues (different languages), as the Spirit was giving them the ability to speak out [clearly and appropriately].
    ACTS 2:1‭-‬4 AMP//
First came a SOUND came from HEAVEN like a rushing violent WIND….and it FILLED(The sound filled the whole house first) before what APPEARED to them TONGUES(not ears or fingers or eyes but TONGUES(How symbolic) like FIRE and RESTED ON EACH OF THEM just as Jesus received the Holy Spirit on Him(After Jesus was baptized, He came up immediately out of the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he (John) saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him (Jesus),
    MATTHEW 3:16 AMP)…
So with Jesus the SPIRIT was ON HIM just as it was on those gathered together on the day of Pentecost but whereas Jesus didn’t speak in tongues at Baptism(He is not a believer after all why should He speak in tongues!!!!) but the gathered brethren ALL RECEIVED THE SPIRIT ON THEM and WERE FILLED….FILLED…with the Holy Spirit and BEGAN to speak in tongues….
Somebody urgues that the filling of the Spirit is not like the filling of a bottle but if the scripture says THERE IS AN OUT POURING, then logically there is a vessel to receive IT(HIM)…
Which part of the triune part of man is filled with the Spirit?
    The Spirit?
    The Soul?
    The Body?
If one solve this conundrum then he will also solve the question whether a Christian can have a demon….
I believe Ananias and Saffira were among those filled with the Spirit but how could they LIE TO THE SPIRIT while ” filled with the Spirit”
Troy Day I don’t know what it means to be filled with the Spirit…?

to be born again is to be filled with Holy Spirit, but we leak daily and need to keep on being filled up.

Poorly worded since being born again does not preclude being filled with the Spirit.

It could mean many things. Maybe you’ll see the flames of hell licking the feet of loved one. Or hear cries of the damned. Maybe you’ll see Jesus looking you over and and feel the pull of a scale when he measures you out. Maybe you’ll wake in the newness of life and the rejoicing of the angels and know its God that watches over you. But I don’t know truthfully. Must be nice to filled with the Holy Spirit . I hope he does it for me one day.
