- Years of elective government experience
- Diversity of government positions held
- Political significance of each position (ex: governors trump mayors, experience in the Senate trumps experience in the House)
- Other executive management or military leadership experience
*Note on methodology: points are allocated based on positive contributions to overall experience. So the higher the score the better.
This list is by no means definitive, but should give a good sense of which candidates have the strongest resumes. Without further ado, here are the 2016 presidential candidates ranked from least to most experience
The contest for the Democratic presidential nomination is relatively set. The same cannot be said for the Republicans, whose recent years have been wrought with party factions, a lack of a clear platform, and a shortage of strong leaders. With no obvious front-runner (the leading candidate in the polls has less than 15 percent support) dozens of Republican hopefuls are considering a bid. So let’s look at 10 of the Republican party’s most likely 2016 candidates, ordered by their current standings in the polls.

Stan Wayne How about little fox fun on a fine sat am – “Trump can make fun of the injury that took sight in my eye — I’ve dealt with tougher opponents. With my good eye, I see Trump is a con-artist,” Reid tweeted on Friday morning.
The political brawl started on Tuesday when Reid poked fun at Trump’s weight.
While accusing the press of magnifying Hillary Clinton’s pneumonia diagnosis and downplaying Trump’s health issues, Reid said during a press conference, “He complains about her health?
