Established churches that are failing desperately, and understandably, hold to their property in hopes God will turn it around. Start ups and church plants are desperately looking for space. That means an intersection of interest. Sadly take overs and splits then become a cause of “church hurt” and error. Wolves in sheep’s clothing, ambition, collide with sectarianism and institutiinal pride. It can get messy. Some survive others carry that curse of supplanting God design. And later fail or are supplanted themselves. May God have mercy on us and help us. I’m sure the pastors and church builders would have a better understanding than a rank and file pew holder like myself.
