At Christmas time someone gave me a fresh copy of the Quran, this one has a long introduction by Maulana Khan an Islamic scholar who has written over 200 books on Islam. The last one ” Muhammad: The Prophet of Peace ” He says that the Quran is a divine book with the purpose of guiding man through his entire journey of life and into the after-life. “As such the Quran is to be studied as an exceptional book, rather than as a common book written by human beings.” In light of our now ” small world ” wouldn’t it be good for us Christians to learn all we can about the Muslim faith, and to recognize that 95 % plus of all Muslim’s live peacefully and somehow learn how we can influence the small number of murders to give up their killing ways?

You would need to read a scholarly critique before jumping into every book that claims to be inspired or you could spend a lifetime searching – I have read it but
The Quran is anything but peaceful :

Sorry I deleted something earlier pastor Jim. It was a little confrontational. I have the utmost respect for you. I mean who doesn’t want peace? But I don’t think this ideology is something that should be honored in any way. I’m not sure what you know about this belief system but their prophet would be considered false by bible standards. Jesus fulfills every prophesy. Beginning from Moses words. A prophet shall the Lord raise up like unto me. Jesus from the lineage of Adam Abraham Isaac and Jacob and Judah and David. Jesus is the Light of the world not this base and violent man. So they are in direct conflict.
I don’t know maybe you have more interaction with some of the honest and decent people that claim to be a follower. But my experience has not been so kind.

  • A prophet of peace? Not, unless you can call “peaceful” a person who, after being sheltered by the Christians and Jews living in Medina at the time, when he was able to gather an army, came back, and aside from the few that were able to escape, he killed them all. How can you call “peaceful” a man who takes a six year old girl named Aisha as a wife, and “consumate” the marriage when she was nine? By the way, the “non violent and peaceful” Muslims consider that to be legitimate and legal, (see photo).

Wow!!! Just not true!!!! Be careful my Brother!!! This is a conflict of Spiritual Warfare that started escalating thousands of years ago with Isaac and Ishmael. The only way of influencing peace is through the Holy Spirit and the Blood of Jesus. Not by human, mortal ways.

You cannot influence those who kill in the name of Allah and his prophet to givevup their violence. It is enshrined in their book. It is open ended and celebrated. And to top it off, they believe that they have God on their side and will receive great rewards if they die in the struggle. They are practicing a doctrine of demons. Only the power of the Almighty God can change their hearts.
