GOD IS ACCELERATING MATURITY IN US AS WE GROW
IN THE AWARENESS OF HIS PRESENCE – Ray E Horton

God is in the process of growing His children up to maturity in His perfect love. It is in our oneness with Him in our Born-Again spirits, and it’s in our awareness of that union through communion with Him that we have the confidence to grow strong in Him despite the weakness of our flesh.

Everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are mature…” (Hebrews 5:13-14)

Understanding Our Righteousness >Maturity

He is indeed accelerating that maturity, which is the full awareness of the gift of righteousness that has been placed within us, so that He can use us to love the world and bring in the harvest in these latter days.

Will we say yes to this accelerated process by coming out of complacency and selfishness and yielding once more to His perfect love

Will we say yes to this accelerated process by coming out of complacency and selfishness and yielding once more to His perfect love, submitting a re-consecrated heart to hear His voice, laying aside our own plans and good ideas for His, and allow Him to live His life through us?

John “the beloved” says it well, and I like the way the Amplified version renders this verse: “In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17 AMP).

Indeed, we are just like Him in our perfected spirits, which He transformed as new creations when we were Born Again. Now how is that worked out in our souls (mind, will and emotions)? By communing with Him, that is, remaining close to Him in our hearts by staying in His presence.

And how do we stay in His presence? Well, we are present to that which we pay attention to and are focused on. As we spend time in prayer, meditating on the Living Word, praising Him in our hearts as we go about our business, praying in the spirit, using our prayer language, all these things keep the focus of our hearts on Him even as we work and play, relate with others and even sleep.

Accelerating Grace Consciousness

God is accelerating in this day the understanding of His grace and who we are in Him, and our ability to commune with Him at all times, staying aware of His presence, which is within us.

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Cor. 3:18). Our spirits have been instantly transformed, and our souls are playing catch up. The veil, having been removed, and we will grow day by day as we look into the mirror of God’s Word and see who we are in Christ. Then we are being transformed in our daily walk with Him in this world from glory to glory. Hallelujah!

And even our bodies will one day be glorified. And in the meantime, we have the down payment of the Holy Spirit, manifesting that Perfect Love within us that He has “shed abroad in our hearts” (Rom. 5:5), so that we “may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 1:2).

And as we receive that wholeness (which, by the way, is strongly facilitated by the Baptism in the Holy Spirit), renewing our minds to God’s truth of who we now are, and grow steadily from glory to glory, we go forth in joy, empowered to serve Him and His people and advance His Kingdom now.

Will you join in with this accelerating move of God’s Spirit in the world today, letting go and yielding fully to Perfect Love?
