A Rising Caleb Generation – Ray E Horton

Have you been faithfully walking with the Lord in the fullness of the Spirit for many years. The Lord has been living big in your life, but you have not been used to nearly your potential. Your God says:

I have given you a different spirit and I yet want to use you and the gifts that I have placed within you. Get ready! For I call you as a part of My Caleb Generation in this day

Remain strong and full of hope, for I have given you a different spirit and placed my Spirit in you for a reason. It is not only because I love you, but because I yet want to use you and the gifts that I have placed within you. Do not give up; rather, get ready! For I call you as a part of My Caleb Generation in this day.”

The Caleb Generation Will Mentor the Zealous Youth

We hear lately much about God raising up many of our youth with zeal and courage to serve God and the Body of Christ. But He is also raising up a Caleb generation of mature and seasoned believers, men and women strong in faith, to mentor them.

Caleb was one of the 12 men who Moses sent to spy out the promised land. “And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it” (Numbers 13:30). But, other than Joshua, the other ten brought a bad report, saying: “There we saw the giants the descendants of Anak came from the giants; and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight” (Vs. 33).

Joshua and Caleb “spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: ‘The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land which flows with milk and honey‘” (Num. 14:7-8). God responded, concerning Israel in the desert, “not one of them will ever see the land I promised. But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it” (Vs. 23-24).

Caleb, who had the vision, brought the good report, and received this promise at age 40, remained strong for 45 years in the desert to see his dream fulfilled. These many years later he said: “I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me to spy out the land, and I brought back word to him as it was in my heart” (Joshua 14:7). “And now, behold, the Lord has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, ever since the Lord spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day” (Vs. 10-12).

God is now calling you out from places of obscurity

A modern-day Caleb generation had received a vision and spoken forth a good report and has remained strong for years. Some were a part of the early Charismatic Renewal, others were Jesus people, or otherwise renewed. They have grown in wisdom and faith and spiritual strength, and God is now calling them out from places of obscurity to enter in and take the land and do mighty exploits to advance the Kingdom in these end times. He will use their Holy Spirit training and experience, perseverance, and love to encourage the Body of Christ to move forward in this final hour to bring in the harvest.

So take heart my Caleb’s,” says the Lord, “all you who have remained close to Me, studied My Word, sang My praises, prayed in earnest and allowed Me to live in and through you. You have noticed a time of preparation drawing to a close. You now have a deeper understanding of My grace and a new emboldening in your life.

Some of you have big assignments, some smaller, but I am your source of direction and power. Some have been serving in ministry, while some have been on the sidelines. In each of you I will live more richly and move through you more greatly than ever before, for the time is short. Take heart and be fully available to Me – the time is here, and through you I will work wonders and build up My people to participate in a Great Awakening for Kingdom Advance.”

Troy Day, this would apply to you and I and all of us old enough to have been a part of the Charismatic and Jesus movements.
