What would be your economix PhD approach on this one Link Hudson ?

My PhD is in Business Administration. But I can only see point one on that link. I could see how writing out your debts would be useful either for planning paying them back or praying about them. So I don’t have a problem with step 1. But by itself, it isn’t going to get anyone out of debt.
