LORD, BRING THE LONELY REMNANT TOGETHER

Remnant – That’s a word I didn’t like in my early walk with the Lord.  “Who are they to think they are a part of the remnant?” “Do they think they are better than us,” I thought?

But I see it now! After 47 years of having been on fire for the Lord, I’ve seen much:  I’ve seen so much lukewarmness!  I’ve seen so much weakness and defeat within the church!  I’ve seen so much complacency!

So many churches compromise God’s Word, or quench the Holy Spirit, both of which grieve the Lord, and grieve the Lord within me.  After almost five decades, I remain hungry, but where are all the hungry ones?

Where are all the hungry ones?

They are out there, scattered among the churches, and lonely for more of Him in others. They, like me, are lonely for like-minded brethren to come along side so that we can together impact the world. You can have lots of friends and acquaintances, be single, or a part of a family, and yet be lonely for rich fellowship and service together with like vision from the Lord.

After getting beyond disliking the idea of remnant, I started to see that there are remnant churches, spirit-filled churches that stand apart by preaching the Word without compromise, and flowing in the things of the Spirit.

But, after several decades of being among them and semi-satisfied, trying to be a giver and bring all that might be received, I am once more seeing that there is more.

The Remnant within the Remnant

I am beginning to realize that there is a remnant scattered within this remnant.  On occasion, I discover a like-minded believer, and have good fellowship for a while.  I believe that God wants to bring us together as a core to strengthen the remnant church.

Do you have an unfulfilled vision for more?  Let us identify one another and come together, whether it be a few of us in our individual churches, a group of us from different churches in the area, or just virtually here on Facebook. We shall be lonely no more as we serve the Lord together.

I see what I believe God is calling “Awakening Groups” arising in support of the remnant churches.  We can be, by God’s grace, a force for encouraging the awakening of the local churches to rise up and fulfill their role:

To make disciples among them,

  • To raise up leaders of Godly character,
  • Seeing them filled with the Holy Spirit,
  • To declare the Good News in every corner of the world,
  • Sharing the Gospel with signs following,
  • Discipling the nations and bringing in the harvest

In preparation for the Lord’s return.

Serving the Lord as encourager, reconciler, intercessor and prophetic teacher of God's Word, primarily in person and on Facebook, as well as writer and editor. Beyond, or as part of, the Ministry of Reconciliation that we are all called to, I am serving the Lord and His people as a minister of prayer at a local church, and encouraging the brethren locally among people I know, and worldwide on Facebook

Let’s find one another. “We can be, by God’s grace, a force for encouraging the awakening of the local churches to rise up and fulfill their role.”
