You raise a very crucial question here” is the church too afraid of the devil or is the devil too afraid of the church?”
A kingdom is known by its presence isn’t it Joe?

Interesting conversation today. A friend and I were talking about ministry in another part of town. He said the devils there are bigger and stronger. I told them if you ever seen the real evil and rebellion to God in your own heart, the devil wouldn’t scare you. And of course God’s sin killing power in the cross of Jesus Christ!

      Beautiful meaningful warfare message.
Confusion is a strategy that is often times used in visible wars and invisible ones and usually language or communication short circuiting or by pass is a very effective weapon.
It is very true what Jentzelin (he has a difficult name) has said in this clip.
All our audible prayers are usually heard by the enemy and not only our prayers but our daily conversations (blessed are those of few words). Remember the Daniel interception?(I don’t know how many answered prayers have been intercepted, thwarted, or stuck in the spiritual realm…waiting for valiant soldiers to wrestle them from the devils hands..)
The enemy can by interception, blockade, hindrance or even feed back misinterpretation or twisting of an answered prayer (esp in dreams and visions) confuse a person because the communication language is understood by all..the demonic, the divine and man.
So the best way out of this problem is to have a direct line to the highest office in the universe, a one on one communication with God in a language that is known to Him and you only, offered through the person of the Holy Spirit…
The Bible clearly states that whoever speaks in a tongue(surely a tongue does not speak with men but with God…but with GOD.
I often read and re read and read and re read the verse and meditate on it and think ” I can bypass all men, demons and angels, and directly talk with God who is the most awesome person in the whole Universe? What an honour!…what an opportunity!
So i vowed to myself I will always strive to be online whatever the situation is..
The verse a little further on says a man who speaks in a tongue utters ” mysteries” and no one understands them…Mysteries?
If fellow men can’t understand what their fellow man is saying what about the demonic realm?
Encryption in war is as old as the world is and i think codes and signs transmit messages faster in a split second than a whole hour of verbal communication.
I believe if we are rightly connected with God we can in a second not only confuse the enemy but do more harm to the enemy strategies and camp ..
Troy day if two thugs meet you in the alley and they speak in a language you don’t know…and smile at you while they are speaking I am sure you would just relax and smile back…THINKING (by their smiles) they are friendly.
And even when they speak in a language you don’t know telling each other ” kill the bastard. ..” you would still think they are friendly until you see their knives ..
By then you would want to prepare for a fight but it is already very late..
Equally that is what tongues do to the strategies of the devil..taken unawares..

The Gift (JUSTIFICATION) is not The Prize (SANCTIFICATION). A gift is free, but a prize is awarded based on performance. Eternal salvation from hell is a gift from God,
but temporal and eternal rewards are earned by our motives and conduct as Christians. Paul, already a Christian, says he presses forward with the goal of earning the “prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” , NOT staying out of hell (Phil 3:14).

    SALVATION OF THE SOUL
Is a common justification myth, but only has sanctification significance and truth.
It literally means ‘preservation of the life’,
and a life that was lost means ‘wasted’ or thrown into hell, rubbish tip as in:
    Matt 10:39; 16:25-26; Mark 8:35-37; Luke 9:24-25; 1 Peter 1:9; James 1:21; 5:20.

Matt 5:27-30 (plucking out your eye) does not mean you will be caste into hell
if you cant stop sinning such as adultery, but it is better to be a believer
who suffers loss to stop sinning (losing part of your life now to save rewards in the future), than to be a whole unbeliever thrown into hell.
Jesus is also teaching believing disciples about future rewards in
    Mark 9:33-37; 43-48 (cutting off a foot).

Pentecostals usually confuse Jesus reference to hell as eternal damnation; whereas, except where Jesus was threatening eternal damnation to Pharisees, Jesus was referring to the rubbish tip outside Jerusalem. Pentecostals can be confused in their strategy of threatening hell to those they disagree with by boasting those they dont agree with are not as holy as Pentecostals..

      You are quiet right.
This is the second year now I havent wrestled with the enemy hand to hand face to face mouth to mouth..just like when David faced Goliath.
I have become like King Saul and his army, shouting the war cry but scared to cross over to where the enemy is…to have a real.fight.
There are too many unanswered questions in this area of warfare and deliverance..too many Troy. I had seen too much of the demonic stuff in the churches I attended and ministered and I dont see the way out there for the thousands of the oppressed and afflicted in these churches because of the ongoing ” doctrinal differences on the subject which helps no one but the enemy…
The last deliverance I did was in April 2019 on a young girl.who was initiated in witchcraft at a very early age.. and reflecting on that deliverance I can say yes, i have taken ” vacation on warfare from other people’s warfare and battles…and remain with my own…If someone needs my services I am available to give it freely but going to warfare recklessly is invting enemy fire..
Playing the super power in spritual warfare is not healthy individually…
Unless commisioned to do so I would rather have the vacation…

    2.1.18.

Mark 7:37 KJV — And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

My daughter came back from more testing today. Again they found nothing. Thank you Jesus. I told her honey I’ve been praying and asking God to heal you. I’m a Christian honey and I believe in prayers in Jesus name. This has been going on 6 months. She had lumps in her breasts first, then in her intestines and they were to operate on her last month. They said it might be cancer. They were going to take part of her intestines and pancreas. The day of the operation they couldn’t find anything. So today they gave her the dye and radiation. Nothing. I said honey I believe Jesus healed you and touched you in your body. She said it must be stress. lol. That Jesus is really something. Im not offended at all. I can’t help it so funny. No daddy it can’t be a miracle it’s stress. Lol and yet she knows God has heard our prayers many times over the years. She still let’s me lay hands on her and pray like we did this morning. she’s 27. She says “Must be stress” lol

Its the old question can a Christian have a demon. Been tossed back and forth here for years.

A lady, 6 months ago comes to church –
The Holy Ghost slams her at the door – she never entered the church sanctuary. starts jerking – her husband says its seizure’s but it was clear it was a demon.
she never shows up again. until months later – all dressed up – asks for the mic right off the bat to testify.
Say’s she was oppressed not possessed because Christians cannot be possessed.
but she could feel the demon spirit. She was always depressed. never wanted to come out of the house. for months.
friends went to visit a week ago – prayed anointed her with olive oil – she has been saved for 30 years but never filled with the spirit FELT she was filled with the spirit right then.
testified in church prayed for people laid hands jumped all over the place screamed at the alter saying revival has already come. should she be allowed to do that?

But why are people sceptic on such stark evidence of the demonic…of all places in a church?
Hardheartedness is not from God…unbelief is not from God…
The same people who say a Christian cannot be demon possessed or demonized or oppressed(whatever the term) have no problem ACCEPTING the fact that Christians can become sick…
      Strange…

And we are presently . now where it goes is the question .
sounds like the case of ” the disorderly orderly ” a play on the American language. An Orderly is a custodian at a mental facility.
I have often seen Christian “testimony” services go bad. Strange doctrines scripture out of context, admitted sin without remorse or repentance. They go unchecked and unchallenged for sake of peace and love.

  • Joe Absher
    Reply September 10, 2019

My answers are, yes its obvious a Christian can have evil spirits that ‘demonize’ them. And yes anyone ought to able to testify to God’s goodness. All things decent and in order giving God the praise and glory as he is so Worthy. Pastors and elders keeping watch over the flock of God. Deacons too.

The gift of “discerning of spirits” is given for this very reason. Not suspicion not criticism but a “discerning of the spirit” as demons often mask and cover their deception and purpose.

I think lots of Christians are like the delivered lady.
30 years is a long time in the faith and the fact that in ALL those years she passed the spritual cameras until she meets old Joe just shows us how DEEP demons can embeb themselves in humans…
The true Holy Spirit ” arrest” and deliverance of the lady shows us that the gifts are still in operation.
When you enter a church with CCTV cameras they wont see nor arrest the demons but when you walk into Joe Abshers church where they dont have CCTV cameras but spritual eyes, you will be arrested…I mean demons will be arrested.

“In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;”
    2 Corinthians 11:26 (KJV)

“…men who claim to be believers but are not.” (NLT)

WHAT or WHO are the FALSE BRETHREN?
In this context false means dishonest. Men that corrupt the Gospel. Betray the body of Christ. Quench the move of God’s spirit. Watch your company brothers there are false brethren in the church of Jesus Christ.
Jesus gives us warning of wolves in sheep clothing, trees that bear evil fruit, whitewashed sepulchres, hypocrites. And many other examples of false brethren, false teachers, false prophets too.
One type I’ve heard described as a nester.
A man becomes a feather in their nest. For their own comfort and ease. To serve their needs and shield them from scrutiny and protect them scorn.

Another type is called the “Judaizer.” Or a legalist, determined to rule by “do’s and don’t’s”
The false brethren want the social status, honor by association, they may even appear moral, but Christ only serves them. Not that they abhor sin and devote themselves to Jesus the Master. They have no intention to renounce this world and its evil, they love it.
For me false brethren is the dishonesty, no desire to whole heatedly turn from sin and hold to the righteousness of Jesus Christ by faith. They scoff at miracles and sanctification. So brazen to deny the veracity of the good book.
True Christian brethren have fellowship in shared suffering, intimacy in prayer, and communion with Jesus. The brethren are honest and forthcoming. Friends even. Joined in holy purpose and devotion to Jesus Christ.
Further I pray now asking God to break that evil power, its deception and control, in Jesus name! Devil you can’t have God’s time. Influence. Inspiration. Gifting, Intimacy. No sir. I rebuke you! Take your hands off God’s people in the mighty name of Jesus!

John Digsby If you think as Charismatic being the second wave in 50-70s who came from mainline denominations – maybe, but if you go back to Wagner is very much Charismatic

As already mentioned to Gary Micheal New Apostolic Reformation originates directly from C. Peter Wagner (1930-2016) who took the idea from G12 while in South America and coined the term in 1994 after trying several alternatives such as “Neopentecostal,” “Neocharismatic,” “Independent,” “Post denominational” or “Nondenominational.” and Third-wave” (also a term coined by Wagner)

      There are several factors here
      1. After stating 1 thing in his Secular City, in Fire from Heaven Harvey Cox expounded on South America exploding for the Gospel while North American churches – in the city – slowly dying

      2. Wagner @ Fuller and AG were all seeking an answer for church growth and they found it in
      1) charismatic renewal in N America
      2) S American revivalism in the 1980s – I think particularly Brazil, though Wagner was in a different area but borrowed a lot from G12 and also Cox, who as a thinker nailed the Pentecostal growth idea

3rd wave IMO was not only Wagner’s term. It was used naturally after the Charismatics and Yes it was more Charismatic theology as most of South American Pentecostals came running straight from the Catholic churches “Independent” and “Post denominational” were also not his terms but he tried them well. “Neopentecostal” and “Neocharismatic” he used both almost interchangeably But the term that stuck was NAR Wagner subsequently wrote of NAR in his books:
      The New Apostolic Churches (1998);
      Churchquake! (1999);
      Apostles and Prophets (2000);
      Changing Church (2004);
      and Apostles Today (2006).

Now back to Toronto airport revival – there is IMO no other place in hte 90s where NAR was more prominent. Terry Wiles may correct me of course but Toronto had every facet of NAR present within them. This IMO characterizes their theology strictly Charismatic all the way to the time when Wagner (and others) made the curve to post-Trib and in some cases even to post-Mil also borrowed from the very Catholic theology of Augustine spread in S America and in some point even into the Liberation Gospel and Rushdoony’s Christian reconstructionism

Narcissists, even the pathological kind, can be found in church leadership. They are cunning in how they convince people they are champions of truth & fighters for righteousness, but in actuality, they are self-serving and greedy for power.
