FOR YOU CALVINISTS OUT THERE — a friendly challenge from a Pentecostal brother. If God has unconditionally elected some to salvation and passed over others, then what do we make of passages like “God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (I Tim 2:3-4), or “The Lord is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (II Pet 3:9)? I affirm God’s sovereignty AND human responsibility. The invitation of the gospel is genuine, and whosoever will may come. Let’s discuss with love and respect.
