I disagree with this analysis. I believe that at the root of white Evangelical opposition to immigration is white supremacy.

A good article though I definitely don’t agree with it all.
Though statements being made that it is white supremacy is like saying that all whites are Confederate.
I personally don’t think any race is better than any other race and accusing all white Christian of this is a racial statement and that person is racist.
    You know my opinions
If you cross our border illegally you need to be sent home.
I don’t believe there’s a country, adult, or teenager that knows the USA has borders and it is wrong to cross them illegally.
I don’t believe in chain migration.
I am going to try to keep my mouth shut.

Scotty Searan, Trump has no trouble with illegal white immigrants. He married one! He has been fined several times for using illegal whites at his resorts. You can try to turn it around all you want, but the statements that Trump has made about Latinos being an “infestation”, “animals” and rapists” are racist The fact that you support a racist makes you a supporter of racism. You think I’m a racist? Come down to Ft. Pierce Florida & I will give you space to say it in front of the African-American congregation that I lead.

No Scotty Searan, not all whites were Confederates. My home state of Indiana remained loyal to the Union and my forefathers fought to save our country from a treasonous rebellion.?

Joseph Kidwell But classifying the whites the way you are now, they would have been Confederate.
I did not say that all were confederate back then, nor did i mention about 160 years ago.

Joseph Kidwell You are saying they were like Confederate
With that feeling you portray a racist spirit.

I didn’t read all the article, but read enough, I don’t see many opening their front door to strangers, in the USA or else where, I don’t see to many giving aid, as a matter of fact I don’t see much of the love of Jesus in this world, I see hate, blame, raising money, and want, repent for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

As far as the way U.S. policy, or lack thereof, encourages abuse of immigrants (cages, overcrowding, separation of families, posing health risks, etc.), yes, we need to repent as a nation.

I know for certain that Haitians we’re discriminated against. But there is no justice in a fallen world.

Our concern should be how the church treats strangers.
