Doing the Father’s business or just busy?
(Edited for a quicker read)
When I saw this picture I realized that I may have spent years of ministry confusing a “busy schedule” with attending to the Father’s business. His business centered on meeting the needs of the one lost while “my” business prioritized those those who were more stable and could help sustain “my” church. Did I ever ask God “Am I busy doing your work or am I just busy?” Often we avoid the ones He accept thus failing the ones who need us the most? We invest most of our time with the ninty nine that are safe and secure and forget about the one who is missing. To the ninty nine, a focus on one stray lamb may seem an unproductive waste of our limited resources. But, to the one lost lamb it means the world. The homeless, homebound and the hurting can’t come to us. The addict, the alcoholic, the abused won’t find the right path on their own, we must go find them. Sadly though, they are “old news”, only an empty pew, forgotten by the majority. They have little relevance in our church and get only a minor consideration when we make our schedules. We know what it’s like to hear the applause of the ninty nine but can we hear the cries of the “one” that is lost? Maybe we will never really know what that “one” feels till that “one” is us.

I’m afraid that sometimes I just get to busy with things I think need to get done. And let the most important things go by.

I know I can look back Dow the road and see and know I could have done more. But the Lord says work while it is day. For night comes and nobody can work. The danger in in procrastination, is you can’t get those days back. And times flys fast. And you find that your body isn’t able to do the things you use to do. There has been times that I couldn’t , because God gives a wife especially , to care for family. That’s why God Made a woman to be a helpmeet. I had to be at home. And the Lord knows I loved being there for my husband while I could. And loved every minute of it. Except I didn’t want him in the shape he was in. I believe I was doing the work of the Lord while I could. After the Lord took him Home. I felt guilty I wasn’t there more. I didn’t travel and do but a very few revivals. I mostly preached for pastors on a Sunday or Wednesday night. But I never felt my husband was a burden while he was sick. I don’t regret a day. And tried to hold on trying to keep him here as long as I could. And you don’t get over it like some people says. I didn’t need to write all that except we have to work while we have a chance.

      Blessed for being open.
I went off air since September 2018 and am currently hibernating mostly…
I have quit preaching and teaching and doing deliverance but I spend most of my time learning and studying things I didn’t know…

//Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.//
    Very challenging verse Troy..
What did He do that which we are supposed to be doing?
Teach about the Kingdom of God?
    Heal the sick?
Cast out demons(most of us don’t do this..)
    Raise the dead?
Fight against the falss religious teachings and systems?

This is my belief, where He said greater works shall you do. Because I go to my Father. I don’t think Jesus meant that we could do anything more powerful than He did. I believe He was saying like2 and 2 equal four. And 10 and 10 equals twenty. Which number is greater, four or twenty. Twenty is the greater number. Well He said we could do greater because He goes to the Father. Well He had three years to work before Dying on the Cross. We might fifty years to work for Him. Well which number is greater. Three or fifty. He was talking about us having more years to work. Where He had three. I believe that’s what He meant. We would have a greater number of years to work than He did. There’s nothing we can do that’s more powerful than He did. That’s the way I see it.
