Daniel’s 70 Weeks (Study pt. 4)

Daniel 9:24 “Seventy weeks are determined For your people and for your holy city, To finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy.

What Must Be Accomplished?

70 weeks are determined to bring in everlasting righteousness.

4. To Bring in Everlasting Righteousness

Daniel’s prophecy also points beyond forgiveness to the establishment of righteousness.

Romans 3:21–26 explains that the righteousness of God has now been revealed through faith in Jesus Christ.

The gospel therefore accomplishes what Daniel anticipated:

sin is dealt with → reconciliation is accomplished → righteousness is revealed.

This is not merely temporary righteousness. It is everlasting righteousness established through Christ.
