The assertions made regarding salvation through esoteric knowledge and the dismissal of historical creeds demand careful scrutiny from an academic theological perspective. Such a framework, prioritizing internal revelation over established biblical authority and communal practice, aligns with historical Gnostic movements consistently challenged by orthodox Christianity (Pneumareview.com, ‘The Enduring Allure of Gnosticism’). Dismissing external rituals and institutional churches as hindrances directly contradicts the consistent emphasis on the visible church and sacraments within Christian tradition (Christianity.com, ‘The Necessity of the Church Body’). The post’s suggestion that human nature possesses an inherent divine spark, thus negating the need for atonement, fundamentally misrepresents the doctrine of original sin and Christ’s propitiatory sacrifice. Furthermore, reducing Christ’s primary role to a teacher of hidden wisdom, rather than recognizing His redemptive work through His death and resurrection, deviates significantly from the New Testament’s central message and subsequent theological development (Pentecostalarchives.org, ‘The Atonement in Pentecostal Perspective’). These arguments collectively undermine foundational Christian doctrines, echoing ancient heresies that have been repeatedly refuted by mainstream denominations throughout history. Consequently, the original text propagates a form of Gnostic theology, disseminating misleading information about established Christian doctrine, and is rightly categorized as heretical.

The title of this post in and of itself is somewhat divisive and deceptive. As I read it the issue is whether or not a believer must speak In tongues to go in the rapture. Which is an erroneous, non-biblical doctrine.

Jeffry Woolston somewhat? Are you aware that for all early Pentecostals you had to speak in tongues to go to Heaven. Are you saying AG is erroneous AND non-biblical ? Such statement would be itself somewhat divisive and deceptive John Mushenhouse Terry Wiles Jose Salinas all know better

The Assembly of God does believe in the rapture and they do not believe you have to speak in tongues to go to heaven. I was in the Assembly of God for years and know what they believe.

Judy Snow this dissertation by a leading AG scholar DOES explain that all Pentecostals required to speak in tongues to go to heaven at 1time or another. At a certain point of time AG could not support this … Were you in the Assembly of God for years between 1914-1924 and knew what they believe?

Troy Day There was a split on the issue pre-trib. The compromise used langue called “the blessed hope.” But most AG in the South preached pre-trib rapture. Today, the “scholars” (sic) are coming out against the rapture.

Nancy Dickman This is very true Several years ago some UK British AG scholars determined that there is a shift toward post-MIL which kicks out any TRIB teaching BUT what about the fact that AG simply could not support pre-Trib rapture theologically ????

Troy Day You are correct. Nancy Dickman has been a faithful Disciple of Christ, a biblical Christian, and a faithful friend for over 40 years. She, like others who fill AG congregations have questions but most have shepherds like those who think little of biblical theology and set themselves up as prophets of end time confusion. It is important for Pastors to rightly divide Gods word, knowing that we all will be held accountable to God.

09 09 2026 0913 Hours ; Thinking outside the box the story about the Wankel engine. A man named Yamamoto seen that there was a problem with the Wankle Engine of the rotor blades,
When Detroit and all the big Automotive manufacturers in America, we’re trying to make the rollerblades stronger, Yamamoto, who had a background in working with furnaces, decided he needed to reduce the Components
of the rotor blades and that was around 1960,
So then Yamamoto started to engineer a different way of creating these rotors and for the next 10 years American Automotive manufacturers research and development centers spent over $1 billion,
Yamamoto’sbudget was $10 million every time he would come out with a new model wankle engine with the improved portions that went in between the rotors he would improve on them again The United States and other countries tried to match what Yamamoto was doing.
Yamamoto wanted to push the wankle as far as it would go, so what he did is, he was main head of Mazda and they built a Formula One car to compete. The problem was the car was so successful that it was disallowed in quite a few different types of Auto races around the world.
Now he was competing against BMW Mercedes-Benz and some of the biggest Automotive formula one cars manufacturers and he was so successful. They eventually outlawed his engine.
Now here is the message behind this? The reason that I’m sending this to you historically valuable lesson people have passed the interpretation of scripture from one person to another person, in my mind There were two or three people, ministers of the Gospel who thought outside the box,
    Number one, Derek Prince,
    Number two, Catherine Kuman,
    Number three, Billy Graham,
What was the common denominator that was shared between these ministers of the Gospel? I have researched and experienced and practiced my relationship with the Holy Spirit,
When people read of the bio of Billy Graham, they always take a short, Jont over his relationship with the Holy Spirit,
How come so many people rebuke Catherine Kuman,
How come Derrick Prince was so incredibly popular outside of the United States and England,
Unfortunately, the truth has evolved, and it cannot be disputed. There was the time that the Hebrew people were under the control of Babylon? The Babylonians were very strong at brainwashing people enforcing them to worship and do what they did according to their gods,
These Impartations that were given to the Hebrew people were passed down after their captivity in Babylon,
When the new church was developed after Jesus resurrection, the Hebrew people were still carrying some of what they were taught under the Babylonian rule, those mandates have been passed down through the years and have been the cause of many infractions of the Bible,
They were the cause of the great inquisition. They were the cause of the restructuring of the Catholic Church, The Great Inquisition They were the cause of Martin Luther who gave us the Bible nailing his 190 issues relating to how the Catholic Church was being run on the door of the church resulting in him writing the Bible that we have today because Martin Luther broke outside the box as did the Japanese engineer from Mazda and Martin Luther gave us the Bible, which simultaneously a printing press was invented in the first real Bible that was not printed in Latin was made that Bible is called the Gutenberg Bible.
Now we are going into a different dispensation,
This dispensation is called the dispensation of faith, ever since the Resurrection of Jesus, we have been under the dispensation of Faith / Grace which simply says we are saved by grace through faith, not by the works of ourselves, but by the hand of God.
Simultaneously, the Babylon and dictionary is being translated showing that techniques of fear that have been used in so many churches to try to keep people in their churches has had a reverse effect.
God‘s word says that we should study to show ourselves approved ! Jesus said I will not leave you as orphans, but after me, I will send a comforter, even the spirit of truth, right there is one of the most important things that Jesus taught us that we should have learned unfortunately many people do not trust themselves to listen to the Holy Spirit instead, they feel they need to listen to somebody that they can physically see and hear, that is one of the main reasons that Jesus was crucified he tried to explain to them that there were two of every person one the physical body and one the spiritual body and because of that they killed him.
380 Gregorian years before Jesus birth, a prophet named Isaiah prophesied the birth of Jesus in Isaiah 53 because the birth of the Messiah did not come into fruition immediately, they declared Isaiah a false profit and they killed him also by sawing him in half length ways the people that killed Jesus were punished ,The people who killed Isaiah were punished, If God wanted puppets, he would’ve created a religion called puppetism. Now here’s a summary to what I’m saying and why so far many times my posts have been stopped because that the concern that the truth will come out I have friends that have been killed, and I have endured many attacks that would have ended my life, but only God decides when my life shall end, and my last breath is controlled by the God who made the universe, the Earth and all things there of.
Derek Prince was credited in casting out over 3000 demons from people,
I have received healing and elimination of a shoulder surgery by Catherine Kuman many years after her death and I had to cancel the surgery the night before it was to take place.
I know, and I have known for sometime that telling you and encouraging you to develop a very solid relationship with the Holy Spirit is my destiny, it is the reason that the Lord has put me on this earth and I know that he will not allow me to take my last breath until I finish my destiny. That’s just how God is because there is a Society called the Islamics that has a desire to eliminate all Christianity and Judaism for the purpose of receiving the promise given to the Hebrew people. When is Ishmael was born, and Isaac was born, I have so many years of research in this you would not believe it, but it is the truth it could not be avoided because it’s at our doorstep and there is only one thing that can keep us from being consumed by this demonic society and that is the Holy Spirit there’s not enough guns there’s not enough anything to use against them except the Holy Spirit.
I hope and I pray the very power of the God who created everything seen and unseen, that you absorb this it was given for you not for me that you may have life everlasting through Christ Jesus.
    Respectfully,
    Rev. James A Newbould.

@@highlight @Terry Wiles @John Mushenhouse @William DeArteaga “why could the AG not support the exclusivist rapture view?” Here are three reasons from the text.

It would have cost the AG its standing with other evangelicals. The text says the AG was gaining acceptance in the broader evangelical community as part of the NAE. It “could not afford” to back a view that would jeopardize that.
The view was exclusivist and elitist. It taught that a person must have Spirit-baptism with tongues to be ready for the rapture. That shut out believers who were saved but lacked that experience.
It caused contention and hurt unity. The 1946 resolution says the teaching was stirring up controversy in some sections. The General Presbyters disapproved of “extreme teaching” that breeds controversy instead of unity and fellowship.

This is actually what it was @@followers During the controversy with the [New Order of the] Latter Rain, the [bridal] rapture doctrine began to reemerge. In a time when the AG was [gaining] acceptance in the broader evangelical community as a part of the NAE, [they] could not afford to support such an exclusivist and elitist view.⁹ As a result, [in] 1946 the General Presbyters passed a resolution declaring that Spirit-baptism [was] not a qualification for the rapture.

Whereas, word has been brought to the General Presbyters that contention [is] arising in some sections by those who are strongly teaching that a person [must] have the Baptism with the Holy Ghost, speaking with other tongues in order to be ready for the rapture, and whereas, it is the belief of this body that those who are born of the Spirit and walking in the light have the promise of being ready when Jesus comes, therefore be it resolved, that we disapprove of extreme teaching which only tends to breed controversy instead of unity and fellowship

It was not the rapture per se that the AG could not support. It was the idea that having received the baptism in the Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues was required in order for a believer to be ready to go in the rapture.

As one who was raised in the AG and whose family roots go back to the 1920s in the AG (with many AG pastors in my family going back to those days and forward) and as one who was originally credentialed with the AG and had to learn the history of the AG, I can say the issue here was what constituted readiness for the rapture, not the doctrine of the rapture itself.

When I first got saved the saints of God were arguing about the rapture or is it pre, is it mid -trib. Or post, and I became a pan tribulationist that means no matter what happens they’re all pan out with God but I still lean towards Pre- trib relation rapture. Well I learned all about that in the Assembly of God churches, and in the FourSquare Gospel Church here in my area.
