CULTIVATE HEARING GOD’S VOICE – Ray E Horton

“‘The Spirit of truth…will guide you into all truth… whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and he will show you things to come’ (John 16:13). Whatever the Holy Spirit hears God or Jesus say, He will speak to your spirit.” ~ Kenneth E. Hagin.

Tap Into Your Spirit

The Holy Spirit wants to get beyond our heads and bring revelation of applicable scripture for each situation

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27).

Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends” (Revelation 3:20 TLT).

That being true, one of the most important things we can do is cultivate the ability to hear His voice, tapping into the realm of one’s spirit where He spokes to us, and bringing what He says into the realm of our soul so we can think, pray and, when called for, act on His word to our heart.

While God’s Word in the Bible is our guide, the Holy Spirit wants to get beyond our heads and bring revelation of applicable scripture for each situation, and what Father and Jesus want to tell us about it. We know it is Him by the inner witness, and of course, that it does not contradict scripture in any way.

Draw near, press in

We need to cultivate hearing God’s voice in our hearts because it does not come naturally

We need to cultivate hearing God’s voice in our hearts because it does not come naturally. We must draw near, press in beyond the mental clutter and distractions of everyday life, and sincerely want His truth for our lives. The more we do that, the easier hearing God’s voice becomes.

But, because the flesh can be deceptive, we must be willing to lay down our own agendas and seek His alone.
