GOD’S AMAZING LOVE IN CREATING US LIKE HIMSELF – Ray E Horton

How amazing and beautiful it is that God wanted sons and daughters like Him with whom to have a close and loving relationship. He made man in His image and likeness, with free will and dominion in the earth.

He Knew We Would Fall

God created us with the ability to freely choose to love Him (otherwise it wouldn’t really be love), knowing full well that we would fall, and that it would take redemption by the blood of Jesus, God made man, for that to be fulfilled, with Jesus as man showing forth the love of God, and pouring it into our hearts by the Holy Spirit as we respond in faith.

There are some who sadly misread scripture to say that God has predestined everything, even who will or will not be saved. That is clearly false and contrary to who Jesus revealed our Father to be.

God’s immutable foreknowledge and omniscience in no way contradicts His decision to make man in His image and likeness

God’s immutable foreknowledge and omniscience in no way contradicts His decision to make man in His image and likeness, with free will and dominion in the earth. It was God’s free choice to give man control in the Earth as we draw on His supernatural resources.

And, while our first parents gave up that dominion to Satan, Jesus has restored it to those who believe, and we once more have the authority and obligation with the indwelling Holy Spirit to overcome evil in the world, bring in the harvest, and advance His Kingdom until He returns in glory.
