I was part of the Calvary Chapel, Shiloh, Chuck Smith, Lonnie Frisbee, John Higgins, Newport Beach baptisms, communal houses orbit – saw also a lot of the spin off cults like David Berg, COG etc

I find it strange that that movement claims to be the first to dance in The Spirit and have fast Hymns and guitars. Those all have been regular standards in churches around here and in the mountain from the start

All my life that is what I’ve seen shouting and dancing in the Spirit and I wasn’t going to little country churches. I know I can remember back to churches in 50’s as a little boy watching this happen. We had guitars, pianos and the like, but not drums for the most part.

Very informative thank you. I noticed no mention of Dr. “holy” Hubert Lindsay and his influence for Christ and the gospel at the university in Berkeley, California in those days and his preaching at the Haight.
