I noticed some of you have questions concerning tithing. If you will excuse me I have a few things to say about the subject.
-
Tithing seems to be given as an insight or inspiration to Abraham years before the law was even thought of. Abraham gave a 10 of his spoils to Melchizedek.
A priest of the most high God.
Genesis 14:20. -
How can tithing then be only through the law of Moses if it was instituted before Moses, and is connected to an entirely different priesthood? Hebrews 7:19
I could go further onto the Type and shadow of Melchizedek, but it’s a long discussion -
If you are Abraham’s seed by faith and Abraham’s insight was to give God 10% should you follow?
Galatians 3:7
If your going to refuse to thithe, I would rather you be honest and admit that you don’t want to give God money. I get it.
But in this context the law is irrelevant. Tithes existed before the law of Moses, and during the law. Should they exists after the law?
