Troy Day the life of any church today, especially mega churches, is home groups. Rom 12 motivational gifts suggest 14 is ideal number of small group. 7 motivational group leaders training up 7 others to start a new home group, to multiply as denominational large group meetings are replaced by corporate worship of Jesus on TV or other media.

The idea of not gathering in a building for church, attending March Madness games, and other large events is to flatten the infection rate of the virus, so hospitals will be able to attend to the sick. Sounds like a good idea and not something the anti christ would like to see. He wants lots of infections to overwealm the heath care system and have many to die. It is not going to hurt anybody’s faith to hole up for a while and let this thing slow down. Who know, April and warm weather may stop it or slow it down without any of our help.

You have to use your brain, Troy. If the infection rate is slowed, then fewer people will need to go to the hospital all at once, lessening the pressure of overcrowding. People may still get it, but it is spread out rather than everyone getting it all at one. Troy Day I was glad our church met and we actively joined in the National Day of Prayer Sunday morning. Together, we took authority over this virus, in Jesus name. Yes, this is a test for the church? Will we stand strong and united in prayer, and be of service to the community. There was a multi-church gathering for united prayer and worship in Erie last Friday, a powerful experience.

The Bible does not require the church to have large meetings. The house church proved to be the answer when the missionaries were thrown out of China. Everyone thought the death march for Christianity had begun in that country. That ‘stress test’ for the church was as great or greater than the one we now face. Families can still meet together in their homes. Who knows maybe these trials will make our faith stronger. Don’t mean to be argumentative with you Troy, but a shut down of all large meetings, even in the Church, is not necessarily a bad thing, especially if it will save lives during the course of this great trial.

This is not likely the Great Tribulation. And if it was, the Lord would protect his people during that time of trial. Sheepfolds, remember? Troy, you need to reconsider your stance on current shutdowns as many people are listening to you. If you want to keep large church meeting going in defiance to govt authorities, then why not get behind reinstating March Madness, and call for opening the schools back up. Tnat is a formula for spiking the infection rte, resulting in many manyy unneeded deaths. The devil would love it. âItâs estimated that we have about 45,000 intensive care unit beds in the United States, In a moderate outbreak, about 200,000 Americans would need one.â Many critically ill people, especially, those over 65, would not be able to receive treatment and die. This is currently happening in Italy, where the hospitals are being overwhelmed. May God help us, as they are now proposing not treating people over 80 years old.
