Joe Absher What’s the best way to answer any question? One way is to answer with the truth.
The Savior answered many questions of the Sadusees and the Pharisees with a question. One reason why, is because they were always trying to entrap and snare him in the law, they being law breakers, spiritually corrupt, they thought they were better than the people, they wanted to be in control of the people, they used their position as clergy to get payed, they changed the ordinances of God, they wore costly clothes to distinguish themselves when out in public to be praised and seen of the people as superior, they sought after the best seats at banguets so that they could be seen ect, ect, ect.
The Savior also spoke in parables. When asked why He spoke in parables by His disciples He answered and said into them,
” Becuse it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but to them it is not given.
For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he hath.
Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear not and shall not understand; seeing ye shall see, and shall not precieve:
For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
(Matt 13: 10-25)
