Studying for the S. S. lesson tomorrow ( Mark 10: 17-31 )
When Jesus asked the rich man to sell all that he had and give to he poor; was this just an isolated case and not required of all that come to Jesus? Consider how hard it is to give large amounts of money away in a way that helps all involved.
Can we take literally Jesus promise, ” shall receive an hundred fold”; or was that just a figure of speech?

Personally i always thought this an example Jesus showing that following the letter of the law wasnt good enough but we had to live by every word from his mouth. But yes we can absolutely take God at his word. God has spared my life several times and i have continued have health and a job with raises while the economy in this area suffers. God is faithful.
