Today we look at the arrest, imprisonment and execution of William Tyndale. http://andnowyouknowmore.blogspot.com

In 1535 a friend of Tyndale betrayed him and he was captured and placed in the Castle of Volvorde (prison). For 18 months he was held in captive.

Now, several Englishmen had been on the hunt for William Tyndale, under orders either from King Henry VIII, Sir Thomas More, or Bishop John Stokesley of London. These men were hunting all over Europe, but only Henry Phillips actually succeeded in finding Tyndale.
