[The Word of God has been preserved for us, why? Because our Abba Father wants us to recognize its great value in our lives; the importance of us hiding it in our hearts; then speaking the word as if it is our own!] “For the word of God is ALIVE AND ACTIVE. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12) [Many groups of people have translated the word and there are many versions available; so which one do we use? I used to be a KJV person; all my memory work has been KJV. I now realize that many people like the ease of reading the NIV, with this understanding; it is the Holy Spirit that makes the word alive to us, so get in in your heart any way you can!] “EVERY WORD OF GOD IS FLAWLESS; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” (Prov. 30:5) [Our Abba Father taught His people to write out the Word of God so it could be seen by all! David said this about the word:] “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” (Psa. 119:11) [As we hide the word we can declare:] “…the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart SO YOU MAY OBEY it.” (Deut. 30:14) [The Word declares and teaches us about our Lord and Saviour Jesus:] “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. He was with God in the beginning. THE WORD BECAME FLESH and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:1-2, 14) [When we learn the word we learn about:] “I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and HIS NAME IS THE WORD OF GOD.” (Rev. 19:11-13)
