Should Christians Eat Unslaughtered Stem-Steaks and Cancer Steaks and Nuggest?

My wife’s father’s side of the family has a lot of Lutherans and some Pentecostals, Charismatics and very few Muslims. Among the Bataks of Sumatra, the Lutherans typically will eat pork or water bufallo ‘saksang’ made with the blood poured back into the meat and cooked into the dish. At a large family reunion, they made a blood-free version for the Pentecostals, Adventists and Muslims.

Pentecostals from GPDI oppose blood in the meat because of ‘abstain from things strangled and from blood’. These instructions for Gentiles from Acts 15 seems to be related to God’s commandment to Noah, the ancestor of the Gentiles an all peoples who he instructed not to eat the meat with the lifeblood in it.

Many years ago, I had an idea for a science fiction show or movie. There is a big vat full of goo used to grow meat from cancer cells or stem cells. There could be ‘cancer steaks’ or ‘stem steaks.’ Of course, several years alter, I read that there was a start-up developing stem cell meat technology.

There is a theological problem here. Many western Christians pay little attention to the issue, but those remaining of the12 apostles, Paul, Barnabas, and the elders of Jerusalem wrote a letter instruction Gentile Christians to abstain from blood. A generaion or so later, non-Messianic Judaism would later require a similar, but longer, list of things from Gentiles for them to be considered righteous without being circumcised. In the Old Testament, animals had to be slaughtered to get the life-blood out, and this was likely the perspective the Jewish apostles had on meat.

So now, there is fake meat grown in a lab. Is this something Christians can eat? If the animal the cells were taken from was properly slaughtered, may Christians eat the stem-nuggets?

Frankenmeat. Frwnkensteaks. I emailed my congressman asking for labeling laws. Better to jump on this before they do an IPO and have power to lobby.

Yes, if it taste good. It avoids slaughtering a cow, helps avoid methane gas which they burp and emit when they pass gas. Bible says nothing about this so we have freedom in Christ to eat it (but bless it).

William DeArteaga the Bible speakings of eating meat with the blood still in it. Will the stem cells growing in a car of goo have blood in them? Will they produce gas.

      Labeling them is fair.

William DeArteaga I shared this with Tom Steele I have a 7th day friend who has shared with me some of their commentaries. They believe the flood was sent because since Adam ppl knew how to modify DNA and did so where large animals were created and grown just to be slaughtered easily for food. But eating them was modifying humans to became like angels – super human giants. So GOD dealt with them radically – obviously they could NOT fly away from the flood Bet Philip Williams KY friend has not represented this precious research in the recently build ark replica 🙂

Troy Day I am tiring of you identifying me with an amusement park rather than the serious scientific expedition and study of the real Noah’s Ark that I am now arranging. May I get your attention regarding this?

Philip Williams well now I would not identify you if you did not point it our multiple times as a connection Now back to the meat/ark/flood discussion – what do you think about the 7th day resume I cited as a not too popular source? You’ve got my full attention as my first job @ 14 was a grace digger at an ancient burial hill We found only 1 gold coin for the several years I worked there but I will be happy to join you if you give more details 🙂 just a friendly warning there was here a guy in search of the holy grail a few years back and he got no where – do you know him?

Troy Day I did want my Pentecostal brothers to know about the scientific expedition that I am leading this year to the Mount Ararat Discovery. It should be a matter of great rejoicing.

It’s not the kind of archaeological nonsense projects with which you are familiar. The expedition license is under Eastern Turkey’s foremost archaeological professor, Dr. Oktay Belli. An ASOR (are you familiar with this organization founded by W.F. Albright and George Ernest Wright) official accompanied me on my visit to the site in order to set up the first ever archaeological expedition on war-torn Mount Ararat. The Turkish Government is our partner. Archaeologists and Scientists from the University of Arizona as well as a prominent member of the Dead Sea Scroll Team in Israel and the most prominent scientific institution in that country are part of the multinational expedition that I am leading.

I turned down an offer from my New York media agent for participation by the cable channels such as National Geographic and History Channel because this project is far too serious to be associated with entertainment channels.

Norm Geisler understood how this project will change the world, hence he was happy to tie his name and reputation to me and to this project. Our plans are to make an announcement following the expedition You will definitely hear about it then if I leave this forum due to it’s lack of seriousness.

Please focus my participation in this forum accordingly. Else, I will have to exit. Expedition needs weigh greatly on my time.

Troy Day I would be in favor of labelling them. GMOs gave powerful lobbied. I am guessing Frankenmeat may not, but it is possible these startups got some funds from the same companies. But I gave not heard of them investing in the startup phase.

“This product will slowly make you fat and then you burst and die!”

Neil Steven Lawrence I think Link has proposed a good point but of course there is too much money involved and labeling is not going to fix the problem They just keep on coming up with new things that are not controlled by new law And YES pastors should get rid of 1/5 of their weight by the end of 2019 by Tom Steele Challenge all bacon lovers, ham eaters, and all… http://www.pentecostaltheology.com/challenge-all-bacon-lovers-ham-eaters-and-all/
