    Guest;

    It’s all about plausible deniability.
    Get in and get out.

Police: was that you disturbing the peace?
    Preacher: what peace?
    Police: we got some complaints
    Preacher: you always say that
Police: you can’t do that here
    Preacher: I was just leaving
Police: Jesus didn’t make people uncomfortable
Preacher: you never read the Bible
Police: I’m going to arrest you
Preacher: you need to repent, that badge won’t save on the day of judgment.
Police: get your finger out of my face
Preacher: how can you walk by the dope man and shut down the preacher
    Police: you’re offending people
Preacher: their conscience is hard, they need stirring up.
    Police: you gotta leave
Preacher: God bless you officer, I’ll see you next week!

Troy Day those guys are still around. It seems they’ve either left the church or become mainline.

I wish I knew Joe Absher Isara Mo

Henry Volk I suspect they emerged from the emerging churches after disassembled from our Assemblies rejecting initial evidence, pre-mil eschatology and entire sanctification

Much to be said here about CULTURE influencing the CHURCH in the last days to produce an interesting breed of in-church leaders with out-church mentality and approach to the ministry

      Troy Day
Unity and comformity is the mark of baseball caps and all sports gear.
      Religion is such.
Salvation is NOT THAT… that is why there were 12 disciples who ended 11 like a soccer team but each was unique in his own way.
Even when the one went away from the team ie Judah Iscariot they picked a replacement, yet they were still different..
None of the first eleven team went to Bible college but they were the best footballers unlike Troy Day and his PT team who has Bible accolades all over the walls of their rooms BUT can never fumigate cockroaches(demons)…(just an illustration not the truth)
Troy Day one just as one cannot play baseball with the sword of the spirit,
equally one cannot fight spiritual warfare with the baseball bat..
Blessed are the inchurch leaders with out church mentality and approach to the ministry because they wield the sword of the Spirit in their hands instead of the baseball bat..that is why brother Joe Absher hands have grown scales now.. Too much warfare in his hands..always swinging the sword.
War is not a game of baseball..

Troy Day high energy. Socially driven, media savvy. I am dealing with one locally. Great guy. I am wondering how he paces and also how he does disciplines. But then again I have wondered how I have managed over the last 40 years. Also, the discernment process is huge too.

Daniel J Hesse well NOW that’s has been a thing for many years and centuries now Even the reformation merchandised printed materials BUT they also preached hard every Sunday I understand the more metropolitan hipster does more talk series than actual preaching of the Gospel

ALL the people would come to hear them..
Every soccer fan loves their idol and yearns for the idols autograph..
Every hipster fan loves their pastors style of dress and drive.. People love MOTIVATORS not those who point out their sins..

Should we have a dress code in preaching?
    Does attire matter?
I will vote for John the Baptist costume… Or Elijah’s coat(shawl)
It is very likely these “kind” don’t even know what clothes they are wearing..
Real soldiers don’t remember much about their camouflage uniforms than their guns..
The real ones don’t spend much time before the mirror nor have time for Gucci or Levi Strauss..
they spend time on their knees..
Outside of these most are hipsters.. (my view).. and there is nothing progressive about THEM.. they are simply narcissistic

The problem with labels and designations is that are unhelpful in the discussion of culture, trends, and generational differences. One group is suspicious of another. We teach missionaries to be culturally sensitive and then castigate our younger ministers for trying to do the same thing in their realm of responsibility. We all have our preferences and sense of decorum. Most ultimately display attitudes as we age that we hated when we first began to minister.

J.D. King TRUE but the hipster movement is naming itself as such I always believed the evaluation of others matters Then we come to a generation saying this was ALL wrong
