Passing of Dr. R. Hollis Gause Professor of New Testament & Theology
DATE: September 6, 2015
Communications has just learned that Dr. R. Hollis Gause, Pentecostal Theological Seminary Professor of New Testament and Theology and noted Church Theologian and Parliamentarian, passed away earlier today. Dr. Gause taught New Testament and Theology for more than 60 years.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time. We will share details of the visitation and funeral service as soon as they are available.
Please keep the Gause family in your thoughts and prayers.

Sorry, so sorry, yet it is as a bitter-sweet time. When I was sitting in class & he lectured, the enormous intellectual power with a splendor of a special kind would fill up a room. Once I was told a story: Doctrine-1. Exam. Only 1 question: Who is God? Dr. Gause left the room. All, but one student were writing it so hard, you could feel the smoke out of students’ heads. The one student just put his head down and have slept through the whole exam. When Dr. Gause came into the class, walking through he saw the student wrote nothing, and was thinking so hard that his head made a touchdown. Dr. Gause takes the blank sheet of paper and says to the whole class: “You have an A grade for the exam. So many years so many people tried to explain, and they could not. So did you. Excellent!”
