Madaba a city dating back to early Israel.

Numbers 21:30, located in then Moab. The modern Madaba now in Jordan re-presents this ancient city. In December 1898 during the construction of a modern church in the village, a most interesting map was found. It proved to be a map, part of Palestine and Lower Egypt, dating back to emperor Justinian in 542. Unfortunately it is severely damaged by time.
