Asked again: ARE SELFIES BIBLICAL? #ourCOG #Pentecostal Another censored topic is now restored Charles Page

Worship in a Selfie World by Stephen Miller aired on February 17, 2016 http://ftc.co/resource-library/blog-entries/worship-in-a-selfie-world

“Wow. God really met with us in worship tonight. The room was just so full of his presence. One of the most intense times of worship I have ever experienced.” This caption came across my Instagram notifications. I was curious to see the photo this student had taken to commemorate his experience. I never would have expected a picture of a young man standing in front of a mirror in his bathroom with a bewildered smirk on his face. Alan N Carla Smith

Agreed with the article. What does a bathroom mirror selfie have to do with the service?

John Kissinger [02/20/2016 11:29 AM]
well you are there by yourself Vlad Stepanov 🙂

Timothy Carter 19 people killed in selfie-related incidents and many more injured themselves. During the same period only 8 people died of shark attacks. https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/the-fallible-mind/201512/selfies-kill-more-people-sharks-do

All right now Joseph D. Absher Joseph Castillo Vlad Stepanov Brody Pope I see this whole a lot around young preachers nowadays They go preach somewhere turn around @ the pulpit of all things and take a selfie with the congregation.
    Is this Biblical?
    Would Jesus do that?
    What would Jesus do?

Seen some seasoned preachers do it too. One just recently was in Africa. Sang a song or something, asked tens of thousands of people in the crowd to raise their hands BUT instead of telling them to praise God he turns around and takes a selfie #HELLO

Another one at a major youth event some +20K in attendance worhsip lady turns around during a song takes a selfie you can see her ripped leg jeans and what have you else

Do you know if SELFIES are Biblical?

Last time I “accidentally” took my phone in my pocket was like 15 yrs ago. Happened that a church official (from another state and another time zone) rang me about 10 min in my message. It was plain embarrassing. Come to think about it may have happened again one more time in 2014. None of the phones were picture enabled though Flip phone Old school No GPS watch

Pictures are like computers. They can be used for evil or good.

I think they want share the blessing not everybody can get out. But sure there’s some vanity I most of what we do. God puts a man up God puts a man down. Stay down. That’s my advice.

Well it is important the dignity of people is respected. Missionaries go and snap shot themselves with the poorest of children not really promoting a Jesus kind of Spirit for the Kingdom
